Happy Jack’s Helping Hands

Caring for peoples’ pets while they are regaining their health is only the tip of the iceberg. While caring for the pets in their home we notice that there are other basic services needed by the patient, but they are services they can’t afford due to their limited income.

These helpful services that we’ve recognized a need for are listed below, but we are sure there are others we have yet to uncover.

  • House Cleaning
  • Lawn Care / Snow Removal
  • Exterminator Services
  • Handyman Services
  • Home Health Care (until social services kick in)
  • Meal Prep
  • Personal Assistant for grocery shopping, medication pickup, etc.

Happy Jack’s Helping Hands is a program within the People with Pets Outreach Project that is designed to help provide these basic services in the home while the patient is working on regaining their health. The first step was reuniting the patient with their pet and we make sure we follow up and provide the services that they need to help them on their road to recovery.
